Deposit + Cancellation
For all new guests: To secure an appointment, a deposit of 50% of the total of scheduled services is required at the time of booking. This deposit will be credited toward your service total at checkout. In the event of overpayment, the remaining balance will be refunded to the original payment method or added to your account as a credit at checkout. Your payment information will be stored securely on file to secure future appointments.
For returning guests: An active card on file is required to secure future appointments made in-salon. If you have not added payment information to your account, our Guest Experience Team will be happy to assist you in adding this information. Any appointments made through our secure online booking will require a 50% deposit for all services booked.
Any guest who opts out of having an active card on file must pre-pay for all appointments at the time of booking. In order to protect the livelihood of our hardworking team, Emerald + Onyx will not hold any appointment under any circumstances without an active card on file, a 50% deposit or pre-payment in full.
Cancellations and rescheduling are accepted up to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Any cancellations or rescheduling made within 24 hours, as well as no-shows, will result in the forfeiture of the deposit. If there is no deposit on file or if the deposit amount is less than 50% of the services booked, the remaining balance will be charged to the card on file as a no-show fee.
In order to maintain the quality and consistency of our services, Emerald + Onyx Luxury Salon reserves the right to refuse service to clients who have a history of frequent no-shows or last-minute cancellations.
clothing protection
Emerald + Onyx will always provide either a full cape, guest robe or other adequate protection for your clothing when you are receiving services. Even with protective measures, there will always be a risk of staining or getting wet at the shampoo bowl. We ask that you do not wear your favorite clothing, anything irreplaceable, expensive or sentimental for your appointment. We suggest generally avoiding collared shirts, hoodies, turtlenecks and chunky necklaces. Emerald & Onyx LLC will not be held liable for damages to clothing or personal items.
health + safety
The health and safety of our guests and our staff is our top priority. Before your initial appointment and once a year after, you will receive a link to fill out our Guest Consultation Form. This form helps us get to know your needs, preferences and values as well as who to contact in case of an emergency. Please take a few minutes to fill out the form prior to your scheduled appointment. If you are unable to access the form, please arrive at your appointment 5-1O minutes early and our Guest Experience Team will assist you in filling out the form.
We welcome children to enjoy the E+O experience, however, all children under 16 years of age who are receiving services must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Due to the potential danger of hot tools, chemicals and sharp objects, children are not permitted to accompany an adult to the salon unless the children are receiving services.
If you are not feeling well the day of your appointment, please reschedule to protect our staff and other guests from the spread of germs. Any deposit made on your appointment will be held on your account for your rescheduled appointment.
If you have any known allergies or sensitivities to color or products, please let us know in your intake form. We offer a complimentary patch test for any chemical service which takes only about 5 minutes and can help determine the likelihood of an allergic reaction if you are unsure. Emerald & Onyx LLC is not responsible for any reaction that may occur during or after your appointment if you refuse a patch test prior to service, provided that proper service protocols are followed.
For your safety, please be sure to list an emergency contact in your Guest Intake + Consultation Form and review this information for accuracy at each renewal.
Code of Conduct & Safe Space Policy
Emerald + Onyx Luxury Salon is proud to be a safe, welcoming space for all. We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, hatefulness, intolerance or violent behavior.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who displays inappropriate, harmful or threatening behavior. Anyone who purposely disrupts the safety and well-being of our guests or staff will be asked to leave and permanently banned from booking future appointments.
confidentiality + privacy
Any collection of personal information is for guest profile services only. Online bookings are made through our secure booking site which collects your credit card information for deposit and ‘express check out’ services. This information is never visible in guest profiles to any salon staff. Your address, phone number, email and birthdate are visible to salon staff, but never shared to a third party for marketing or otherwise. You may opt out of SMS and/or Email notifications at any time, although we promise never to spam you with notifications! (We send a seasonal newsletter via email and occasional notifications for events, promotions and info you don’t want to miss!)

product + Service guarantee
If you are not satisfied with the quality of any services received at Emerald + Onyx, please notify us within 48 hours. Our team will be happy to schedule you for a complimentary adjustment.
We accept unopened, unused products within 10 days of purchase for a full refund in the original form of payment. Opened products can be exchanged for a salon credit to your account within 30 days of purchase. Unless defective, all brushes, hot tools and accessories are final sale and are non refundable.
Emerald + Onyx Salon gift cards are the perfect gift for any occasion. Our gift cards can be used towards services or products, and can be saved to your guest profile, making them easier to use than ever. Gone are the days of forgetting your gift card at home and having to pay out of pocket! Gift cards may not be redeemed for cash or used to purchase another gift card. Gift cards are nonrefundable and service prices are subject to change.

Going above and beyond is the standard at Emerald + Onyx and our Signature Services are booked with the right amount of time to make sure you get all of the luxe you’re looking for. Being on time for your appointment ensures you receive the best service possible and is courteous and respectful to guests booked after you. Please note that any late arrivals may be subject to a shortened service or need to reschedule. In the event of needing to reschedule due to late arrival, the deposit on file will be forfeited to compensate your service provider for their time.
If you are unsure of what you would like done with your hair and would like to speak with one of our stylists before booking, we offer Complimentary Consultations to discuss your thoughts and concerns or do a strand test to determine how your hair will react to lightening or coloring. Consultations are required when booking any corrective or vivid color appointment, as well as new extension appointments.
